Prizes and certificates of honor were presented Monday night in Algiers, the winners of the national award artisans crafts, who have distinguished themselves by their products at various national shows and in the 17th International Exhibition of handicrafts.
The first prize of crafts was awarded to Ben Chennouf Nacera wilaya Khenchela for its traditional rugs, the second returned to Ben Cherif Hammouche wilaya of Bejaia who presented a traditional local box carved and decorated with drawings Amazigh . The third prize was awarded to Ben Slimane Zineb for its traditional embroidery "El-chebika."
On artistic craftsmanship, the first prize was awarded to Sahli Redha, Tipasa, which presented works of art decorated with motifs of the era Hamadide. The second and third prizes went to a craftsman and artisan Bejaia Wilaya of Ouargla.
On this occasion of honorary certificates were awarded to the architects of authentic products.
In this context, the Director General of the National Agency for Handicrafts (ANA), Beribeche Faiza said that the prize this year coincided with the tenth anniversary of the establishment of the National Crafts Prize and the artistic craftsmanship, the celebration of the national day of crafts on November 9 of each year, the 50th anniversary of regaining independence and the 20th anniversary of the creation of the ANA.
On this occasion she called for the promotion of this important product to support the national economy, creating new jobs, implementation of local development and support of investment and tourism.
Prices of crafts and artistic craftsmanship consist of certificates and medals of recognition quality and amounts to an estimated 450,000 for da first prize money, 350,000 for the second da da and 250,000 for third.
The winners were selected this year in different trade fairs in several provinces of the country and at the 17th International Exhibition of handicrafts.
556 artisans participated in the competition for the best craftsmanship and artistic product in nine specialized trade shows and 17th international exhibition of handicrafts.
The committee chose 36 products, including 35 in the various national exhibitions and one single product at the international exhibition of handicrafts.
