LAGHOUAT - Participants at the second national exhibition dedicated to the art of sandblasting stressed Tuesday in Laghouat, on the necessary valuation of the art of sandblasting and its exploitation for promoting local tourism.
For the artist Messaoud Amroune Msila, who specialized in North African decor, exploitation of the art of blasting is likely to contribute to the promotion of local tourism product, through the representation of the beauty of nature and tourism in the tables made with sand.
For his part, Amar Mouna wilaya of Ghardaia emphasized in order to develop this art of creating spaces for the promotion and marketing made from sand art products, the participation of artists from the sand various events across the country, and youth initiation to the practice of this mode of artistic expression.
Management constraints faced by artists who specialize in sandblasting, due primarily to the lack of workshops, lack of exhibition spaces and the enhancement through the medium of this art as a reflection popular Heritage of Algerian society are advanced by participants proposals.
Fifty participants from across the country are taking part, since last Saturday in Laghouat, this national exhibition of the art of sandblasting, initiated for a period of five days by the Chamber of Crafts and Trades wilaya.
