Minister of Tourism and Handicrafts, Said Amine Hadj Said, announced Thursday Tipasa the imminent signing of a financing agreement with six (06) private banks to consolidate tourism investment across the country.
"We are about to sign a financing agreement with six private banks, with the aim of achieving fast, investment projects in the sector," said Mr Hadj Said, on the sidelines of a visit to work he has done in the province.
This agreement will be signed, said the minister, with the Bank of Arab cooperation "ABC Bank", "Netixis Bank", "BNP Paribas", "Societe Generale", "The Bank of the Arabian Gulf", "AGB Bank" and "Trust Bank. "
This project support measure is, according to the minister, "in addition to a financing agreement already signed with state-owned banks", namely the National Savings and Provident (CNEP), the Bank for local development (BDL), investment Algeria, the Algerian People's Credit (CPA) and the Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (BADR).
Mr. Hadj Said, who noted the commitment of public BADR Bank to accompany tourism projects in rural areas, urged operators to invest in thermal tourism, mountain tourism and Saharan tourism to break, he has said, with "all-out investment in tourist areas along the coast."
He said that some people mistakenly consider that tourism is limited to its appearance and only beachfront summer.
In this context, Mr. Hadj Said was case of registration by the services of his department, 205 investment projects, 170 have applied for their location at the tourist zones extension (ZET) wilaya coastal.
Referring investment at ZET, the Minister informed that "folders can be filed soon in the services concerned," while noting the launch of a national census operation of land capable of being assigned to destine to the home of tourism projects in order to circumvent the scarcity of tourist land.
However, Mr. Hadj Said noted that "the future of tourism is not only a matter of investment in structures, but is also an investment in human resources business in charge of managing these structures ", along the lines of the government's strategy for tourism development, he has said.
