Implementation of the Association Agreement Algeria and the EU

Twinning in the handicraft sector
Two institutions will attend the National Agency of traditional crafts in its various activities.
As part of its assistance missions for institutional twinning, the Management Unit to support the implementation of the Association Agreement Programme - between Algeria and the European Union - (UGP3A) supports the partner institutions in the handicraft sector.
This action (twinning) and concerns the role assigned by the ministry to the National Agency of traditional crafts (ANART). This structure will be assisted to do so by the Spanish National Foundation for artisanal innovation (Fundesarte) and the Directorate for Competitiveness, Industry and Services (DGCIS), came from France. In addition to its participation in international craft fair taking place in Safex between 23 and 28 of the current month, the ANART will also be assisted in organizing a workshop scheduled for today, sidelines of the event. The twin institutions are taking part in this event by providing entertainment at a stand of 30 m2. Documentation of the craft sector in Algeria and communication media on the P3A and twinning activities (review, leaflets, brochures ...) are in this respect made ​​available to visitors. Through this exhibition, the ANART wants to contribute to the promotion of traditional crafts sector in Algeria.
The three partners in this pairing also want to stimulate the interest of young people for careers in traditional crafts and strengthen relationships and communication with artisans and bodies responsible for promoting handicrafts in our country. It is also planned to conduct a survey on the image and reputation of the craft in general and traditional crafts, in particular, to the general public. As for the day of study will involve a hundred people, the theme will be "Promoting our traditions." It will be hosted by Algerian and European experts. "Important issues related to the promotion of traditional crafts, based on modern methods and techniques will be discussed by stakeholders," said a press release from the PMU. The matters discussed will address innovation in the field of traditional crafts, the communication plan in this sector and the organization and monitoring of exhibitions and fairs as organizers or participants. Reminder, "Craft" is one of the top 5 identified and initiated by the P3A institutional twinning. The project officially started in March this year and reached approximately 50% completion rate of its activities. The other four were made ​​in the areas of finance (DGI), water resources, industry and trade.
