Crafts and trades: a rich entertainment program and training for 2013 in Jijel

JIJEL - A major animation and training program has been developed for the year 2013 in Jijel Wilaya by the Chamber of Crafts and Trades (CAM) Has said Saturday his Director, Abdelhak Kerdid. This program focuses on two main aspects, namely the animation through fairs and exhibitions and training by upgrading artisans affiliated to the CAM, will run until the end of the year, said the official at the APS.

As for the animation aspect, it will be particularly marked by the organization of numerous fairs and exhibitions relating to traditional dress, leather, wood, cork and its derivatives, with the participation of many provinces of countries.

Next summer will be particularly rich in activities with the organization of the National Traditional Leather Fair which will see the participation of artisans wilaya of Tamanrasset, Illizi, Ghardaia, El Oued, Adrar, Bechar Blida, Bouira, Tipaza, Tlemcen and Oran, said Mr. Kerdid.

The national exhibition of wood and cork is also an opportunity for artisans of Jijel, Skikda, Guelma and Mila to share their expertise in the processing of this raw material for the production of various utensils.

In terms of training, the program developed by the CAM in particular provides internships to benefit 150 beneficiaries under the auspices of the International Labour Office (ILO). Inmates of penal institutions in the region will be, too, affected by these actions that sanction qualifications enabling the creation of small craft businesses after the release of the residents of these structures, Has it clear to the House.

This action is part of an agreement between the Ministries of Justice and the Ministry of Tourism and Handicrafts, Has it said.

Other actions planned under the local productive system (SPL) will also be undertaken during the year. They will cover the "design" and "finish product" for safe and guaranteed product placement crafts.
